Pass rate	PMI does not provide an official candidate pass-rate percentage in its current exam outline. Provider pass-rate claims are not comparable evidence of course effectiveness.
Questions	180 questions: 170 scored and 10 unscored pretest items, including scenario and graphic-based formats.
Time	240 minutes, with two 10-minute breaks. Once a break starts, earlier sections cannot be revisited.

How to choose PMP prep

Do you already have your 35 contact hours?

First check your eligibility. If you need the 35 training hours, choose a qualifying course; a question bank alone does not supply them. PMI says that live training completed from December 1, 2026 must come from an ATP, China REP or eligible accredited academic program. Self-paced courses can still come from any organization. Training completed before that date remains eligible under the existing rules.

How much should you spend on PMP prep?

Budget for the training you still need, one practice resource, and any renewals through your exam date. A self-paced course plus practice can cost less than live instruction, but verify the actual checkout totals. Our Complete Pass System is $89.99–$249.99; its $39.99 Starter is separate. Does the July 2026 exam change which course you should buy?

Choose material that addresses the current exam, including Business Environment at 26%, updated scenarios and the longer exam format. Ask providers for their current syllabus and sample questions. An updated date alone does not establish that every lesson and mock has been revised.

Retaking the PMP — does your prep choice change?

Use your score report and missed-question explanations to identify what needs work before buying another resource. Compare the cost of extended access with a new course.
